Family visits.

Your status determines which relatives (or future relatives) may be eligible to receive immigration benefits. In order to help a family member immigrate, you must be a:

  • U.S. citizen
  • Green Card holder (permanent resident)
  • Refugee admitted as a refugee within the past 2 years or asylee granted asylum within the past 2 years

J-1 visa: This visa is for exchange visitors who participate in programs that promote cultural exchange, such as au pair programs, teacher exchange programs, and trainee programs.A J-1 visa is a non-immigrant visa issued by the United States to research scholars, professors and exchange visitors participating in programs that promote cultural exchange, especially to obtain medical or business training within the U.S. All applicants must meet eligibility criteria, English language requirements, and be sponsored either by a university, private sector or government program. J-1 visa holders must usually return home for two years following visa expiration so they impart cultural knowledge learned in the United States.

H-1B visa: This visa is for temporary workers in specialty occupations, such as engineers, computer scientists, and accountants. This kind of visa is given to people who has achieved milestones in their specialty and are willing to relocate to U S to contribute their own quota for the development of united state.

L-1 visa: This visa is for intracompany transfers of employees from a foreign company to a related company in the United States.The H-1B visa is a non-immigrant visa that allows U.S. employers to temporarily employ foreign workers in specialty occupations
